Colleen A. Tenpas, 53, of the town of Alto, went to her heavenly home Thursday evening, February 28, 2013.

Colleen was born September 11, 1959, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of John and Lorraine Stahr Derivan. Colleen grew up in Fox Lake and graduated from Waupun High School in 1977 and from UW-Eau Claire in 1981, where she received her bachelor's degree in nursing. On October 1, 1983, she married the love of her life, Brian Tenpas, in Fox Lake. Following their marriage the couple resided in Alto, all their married lives. Colleen began her career in nursing at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, where she spent 32 years at a job she truly loved. Colleen was a prayer warrior and an active member of Alto Reformed Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, coaching the youth group, and leading Bible studies. She lived out her faith with God and shared it with many. Colleen's greatest joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved watching sporting events, biking, traveling, and shopping.

Colleen will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Brian Tenpas of Alto; their two children, Katie (Cody) Mueller, and Daniel Tenpas, both of Alto; their two grandchildren, Everett Mueller and Kennedy Tenpas; her two sisters, Kim (Donn) Luell of Beaver Dam; and Diane (Kris) Monson of Strum, WI; a brother, Jim (Sharon) Derivan of Beaver Dam; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Barrie and Ardyce Tenpas of Brandon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kevin (Deb) Tenpas of Howard, WI; Tim (Kara) Tenpas of Waupun; Mike (Rose) Tenpas of Pewaukee; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Colleen Tenpas will be held Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. Ted Lindman officiating. Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery. Friends and relatives of Colleen Tenpas may call on the family on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials received will be directed to a nursing scholarship in Colleen's name.

Mrs. William Derivan, 59, of 409 W. Franklin St., Waupun, died at 10 am. Thursday at St. Agnes Hospital.

Mrs. Derivan was born in Waupun Feb. 3, 1909, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Drummy. She was a graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing. She married Mr. Derivan June 14, 1942, at Waupun, and the couple lived there. The deceased was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society and American Legion Auxiliary of Fox Lake.

Survivors besides the widower include a son, William Patrick, and a daughter, Catherine Ann, both at home; a brother, James Drummy, Waupun; and two sisters, Mrs. H.J. Farrell, Milwaukee, and Miss Mary Drummy, Terre Haute, Ind. Her parents and one daughter preceded her in death.

Funeral services are scheduled Saturday at 9 a.m. at Kohls Co. Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Waupun. Officiating will be the Rev. Joseph Herp. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waupun. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.

Richard L. Marbes, 99, Marinette, died Nov. 21, 2009, at Rennes Health Care Center West. He was born April 23, 1910, to the late Mathew and Helena (Plouff) Marbes in Marinette.

In Richard's early years he had worked on the boats on the Great Lakes and also worked with a survey crew to chart the Menominee River. He later worked as a twin city bus driver and drove for Haller's. Richard married Cecile E. Marineau May 21, 1932, at St. Joseph's Church in Marinette. She preceded him in death June 16, 2007. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, a men's bowling club and was the charter treasurer of the senior center. He loved going to deer camp and spending time working on his chalet.

Richard is survived by four sons, Kenneth (June) Marbes, Sun City, FL, Thomas (Mary) Marbes, Lakeland, FL, Donald (Donna) Marbes, Menominee and David (Linda) Marbes, Marinette; three daughters, Lois (Roger) Kniskern, Crivitz, Annette (Gene) Francour, Menominee and Kathleen (John) Lord, Richland Center, WI; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Marbes, Forest View. IL; 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson Joseph Bayer; three brothers and four sisters.

Friends called at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church where a Funeral Mass was held Nov. 28 with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.

graduate of Port Clinton High School. She worked for Port Clinton Manufacturing. Linda will be greatly missed by her loving family.

Ben, age 102, died Thursday, January 20, 2000, in Racine, Wisconsin. He was born September 20, 1897, in Canton, Mississippi. He was the son of John and Margaret (Beschta) Meyer. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy (Purfeerst) who died February 1, 1984; two brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include his son Robert B. (Rebecca) Meyer of Reedsburg; five grandsons: David (Marci), Deerfield; Rodney, Reedsburg; Jerry, Lake Delton; Don (Brenda), Fargo, North Dakota; and Craig (Debbie), Wisconsin Dells; five granddaughters: Wanda and Bill Brethorst, Racine; Judith Meyer, Madison; Linda (Evan) Meyer, Reedsburg; and Susan (Olaf) Gregerson, Wisconsin Dells; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Interment was in St. Bridget's Cemetery, River Falls.
